I AM ONLY MARY
In I Am Only Mary, Thomas Atzberger explores as best we can the possible life of Mary, the normal young girl of Nazareth. In his compelling and meticulously constructed book, the author brings us into Mary's everyday life, from her life as a little child, on through her childhood learning and family life as well as how she responded to such day to day, normal events as worship and friendship, holidays and the prime challenge of her life. We see her grow into womanhood and share her betrothal and expectations; we see her learn of the role God intends for her, and accept her future with a grace that remains today a singular model of courageous humility. Perhaps the most compelling message in this unique book-and one that we glean through understanding the life of Mary-is how even the most normal lives are imbued with the loving kindness of God and that we are always growing toward greater sanctification.
