Many popular quotes, proverbs, sayings, and words of wisdom about human nature are not really very interesting, not very accurate, and almost always show the biases of the writers. They are usually only useful if they come with a complete explanation that opens up your eyes to the inconsistencies of the statements. I have laboriously selected only the best of the best of these truths and half truths, about 300, about human nature which make more sense than the rest and have included short but complete explanations where necessary. Some of the quotes are my own modifications of the original ones.
HUMAN NATURE was written with an understanding that all the statements in the book are not usually true all the time but they can be considered to be the truth most of the time, some of the time, or even little of the time.
