About the Author

Kate Brian is a journalist and author of many books on fertility and pregnancy. She began her career at the BBC and went on to work at Channel Four News where she was Home Affairs Producer.

Kate is Women’s Voices Lead at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, and is Editor of the Journal of Fertility Counselling. She presented the Radio Four documentaries Banking on Birmingham and The New Viking Invasion.
