About the Author

JONATHAN IRWIN is a journalist at The Sunday Times in London, where he spends most of his time adding commas into news stories or taking them out. A few years ago, he went to Australia to see whether people Down Under really do walk around upside down, and was disappointed to find they don’t. He did, however, meet Chris “Roy” Taylor, a brilliant and hilarious cartoonist and illustrator, who went on to illustrate Jonathan’s first picture book, How to Speak Cow. Jonathan lives in the east of England with his wife and son.

CHRIS “ROY” TAYLOR is a cartoonist, illustrator, designer, author and failed inventor based in Melbourne, Australia. He has been an editorial cartoonist and illustrator at the Herald Sun newspaper (Australia’s largest newspaper) for over 15 years. His illustrations have been featured in many books for children, including The Great Big Book of Aussie Inventions and How to Speak Cow, as well as the upcoming How to Speak Dog.
