The frontier was settled by hard working, faithful people who used all their strength and resources to tame the new land of America. Each character faces his or her own trials and some lean on faith to make it through while some do not. All books in the series are good, clean Christian reads. The prairie is a dangerous place after the Civil War with Indians and Quantrill's men, so she hires two Pinkerton Agency guards to go with her.
