Overview

The frontier was settled by hard working, faithful people who used all their strength and resources to tame the new land of America. The books in this series show the reader what life was really like in the 1800's with fictional characters placed in real places like Kansas City, Missouri, and Mud Creek, which later became Abilene, Kansas. Each character faces his or her own trials and some lean on faith to make it through while some do not. All books in the series are good, clean Christian reads. In Horse Thief Canyon, Ellie has achieved financial independence on her own, but she finds herself searching for something more and takes a journey back home. The prairie is a dangerous place after the Civil War with Indians and Quantrill's men, so she hires two Pinkerton Agency guards to go with her.
Thomas is a Pinkerton detective and very good at what he does. Will he give it all up to follow Ellie? He must convince her they could have a beautiful life together, but Ellie is strong willed and determined, the two skills that made her what she is, the only successful woman factory owner in Atlanta.
Will she choose love or her business success?
