Trag Le Du is a town so small in England that travelers, and even the people of England themselves, hardly remember that it exists. This almost nonexistent town is where Johanna Toboe, who has just lost her mother, is moving to with her family.
The first impression of the small town is that of the entrance to a Renaissance Fair, with all the small shops and stone work throughout the small town. Johanna believes the place will be boring until she meets Sheeve V’Loy. He makes friends fast and tells her about the town and then his brother. Johanna finally gets to meet Sheeve’s brother, Preston V’Loy. He his exceptionally handsome, brooding, extremely tall and… rude. Every time she talks to him he has nothing nice to say and seems to be hiding something. But when Johanna finds a prehistoric animal in the middle of the road, she will find that Trag Le Du and the neighboring town of Scarborough are more than they seem to be… and Preston seems to be a part of it.
