Tony Koszarek got his start in cartooning by drawing cartoons for the Father Judge High School newspaper, “The Crusader”, then for the LaSalle College weekly, “The Explorer”. He then spent four years in the U. S. Coast Guard in the South Pacific, entertaining shipmates with cartoons and caricatures. Tony married his wife Gerrie in 1972 while living in Philadelphia.
