Overview

Pledging an oath should automatically bring a sense of pride, especially when the oath is to your country. However, someone forgot to give these privates the memo.

Privates Craves, Kay, and Ziva, fresh out of high school and arriving at their 1st permanent duty station, are suited, booted, and full-on ratchet. Or want to be. Fact is, they're still trying to figure things out, like, oh, LIFE. And when these new friends find themselves regularly neck deep in trouble, they're going to have to rely heavily on each other to pull themselves out.

Now I know you're thinking--How much trouble can you get into on a military post? Apparently these girls have no idea either...but they're determined to find out.

In Book 1 of this Private in Public series, you'll see Privates Craves, "Miss Goody Two Shoes," try to mother-hen Ziva and Kay and still somehow get sucked into their adventures.

And when Private Kay's in the lead, those adventures are going to be sexy and not a little dangerous. Like one particular "Ditch-Ziva-and-let's-go-club-hopping" craziness that should get her and Craves escorted off the post in handcuffs! Meanwhile, Private Ziva cozies up to a reception NCO who's definitely not what he seems. And almost gets dragged off to who-knows-where by a female 1st Lieutenant who's got nefarious long-term plans for all three girls that don't involve them getting deployed to Iraq.

So come join these privates as they enter the military world for the first time. They may be young and dumb, but they're also on a wild, if at times cringe-inducing, journey to becoming young women.

Becoming good soldiers can wait.
