CHAPTER 1

"Yay, it's Thursday!" I exclaimed as I jumped out of bed.

I grabbed my favorite doll and began twirling and dancing all around the room.

"This is going to be the best day ever! I'm having high tea with the Queen!"

I skipped to the closet to look for my uniform. I needed my jumper and lacy white socks.

"I have to look my best for the Queen!"

I knew Mom would help me get dressed, brush my hair and put in my favorite ribbons.

"I have to hurry ... I can't be late, not today!"

I ran to the kitchen to look for Mom.

"Mom, Mom ... where are you?" I yelled. "Let's go! I can't be late!"

Mom strolled into the kitchen, yawning and looking quite a mess.

"Hurry, Mom let's go. I can't be late. Why aren't you dressed? Let's go, I can't be late!"

Mom said, "Calm down, Annie. What's the hurry?"

I groaned, "Did you forget? I'm having high tea with the Queen! Hurry, help me get dressed and brush my hair!"

Mom smiled at me and shook her head, then she helped me get dressed for school. I looked at my reflection in the mirror and I smiled.

"Thanks Mom. I look perfect!" I couldn't wait to see the Queen.

Mom had her coffee and got dressed. Finally, we left for school.

"Yay, we are on our way," I said. "I won't be late for the Queen."

I looked out the window as Mom drove. I am going to have a wonderful day. "I love my school, I love my teacher, and I LOVE THE QUEEN!" I whispered just to myself.

As I got out of the car, Mom blew me a kiss and told me to have a great day. "I will," I exclaimed. "This is going to be the best day ever!"

I quickly walked to my classroom. I really wanted to run, but I knew that would not be a good choice. Being a good leader and living the 7 Habits is how I earned the chance to have high tea with the Queen.

I walked into my classroom and gave Mrs. Brannan, my teacher, a hug. She gives the best hugs!

"Good morning Annie," said Mrs. Brannan. "How are you this morning?"

"Good!" I answered. " I can't wait 'til this afternoon. I'm having high tea with the Queen!" Mrs. Brannan smiled and gave me another hug.

"I love my teacher, I love my school, I LOVE the Queen. PHES is the best place to be!" I whispered just to myself.
