About the Author

Alain Proust is one of South Africa’s foremost photographers. In a career spanning many decades, his work has included architecture and the built environment, landscapes and nature, interior design, art and artists, food and beverages, and in-studio advertising stills. Alain has photographed all the books in the ‘Hidden’ series and he brings the same creative vision, mastery of composition, superlative understanding of light, and artist’s eye for detail to Hidden Karoo.
