About the Author

A board-certified neonatologist, Dr. Gary cared for seriously ill newborns for thirty-five years in the Neonatal ICU at Akron Children's Hospital in Akron, Ohio. During that time, he also wrote "The Baby Beat," a weekly medical column for Alliance, Ohio's daily newspaper.
