Overview

Henry "Doc" Norwood has watched his fellow Brethren find their mates over the last year and has kept faith that the magician would send him his mate. Though the thought of his mate is in the back of his mind, Henry and the Brethren have been given a prophecy concerning the two remaining Centurions. Henry is stunned when he learns the witch that often guides the Dallas Brethren is his mate. What is Henry to do when she does not trust the bond but believes it is only a spell cast by her grandmother? Can he convince her the bond is stronger than anything?

Raine Graham is called to help her Grandma Eun-Ju with physical therapy for a fall she suffered in South Korea. Every time she visits, her grandmother constantly mentions finding Raine a husband. When Eun-Ju admits to giving Raine's fate a bit of a push, Raine doubts the bond she feels when she meets Henry at her best friend's wedding. How can she believe the unbelievable bond she feels? Is it magic cast by her grandmother? How can she trust what 'her mate' tells her is true?
