Overview

Haunted by the death of a young Orca, Nikora Ahipene devotes his life to their study and preservation. Nine year old Ciara is also fascinated by these great mammals. After hearing Nikora speak to her class she decides to adopt an orca of her own. It's not long before Nikora, Ciara, conservationists and local iwi collide when an orca pod strands on a narrow estuary. Set in New Zealand.
