Audience: The target audience includes researchers, students, or professional nursing students. It can be of use to anyone writing papers, from class assignments to manuscripts submitted for publication. The authors are experts in the field of professional writing.
Features: Chapter 1 deals with the types of writing styles. Chapter 2 covers the principles of effective writing. Chapter 3 is an alphabetical listing of various writing typos and pitfalls. Chapter 4 covers how to avoid superfluous word usage. The last chapter deals with the use of the Internet. Six appendixes include lists of common abbreviations and acronyms, commonly misspelled words, correct use of prefixes and suffixes, proofreader's marks, electronic resources, and a guide on referencing. A reference for further reading is provided.
