Born Pearl Frear on December 14, 1927, to Robert and Mary Ann Holland, she had six brothers, five sisters, and a twin brother Earl, who passed away at birth. Over the years, she married twice and had nine children, 13 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. She was a devoted member of the Refuge III Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ, and her favorite scripture was Psalm 23.
