About the Author

Dr. Gloria Kaye is a hands-on energetic healer who has been bringing relief to patients for decades. Her private healing practice has included children, professional athletes, celebrities, and even animals. She often works in conjunction with physicians and health care practitioners, and she has lectured on her approach to alternative healing to audiences ranging from medical students at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), to medical personnel at the University of Miami. In the 1970s Dr. Kaye did groundbreaking research on yoga as treatment for drug abuse. She earned her Ph.D. in clinical psychology and health psychology in the early 1980s with a dissertation on yoga—no small feat in a day when yoga was less than respected by the mainstream medical community. Part of her dissertation was subsequently reprinted in the Clinical Journal of Gerontology. Over the years her healing work has been observed and documented by a number of respected physicians, and her practice has taken her to patients in the cancer ward at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, California. Though her home and practice are in Santa Barbara, California, Dr. Kaye travels extensively to see clients worldwide.
