Overview

In this parapsychological thriller, fast paced action leads us from the
rolling Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia to the soaring Alps in Austria
where a plot is uncovered that could endanger civilization around the
world. Working with an old college friend who has highly developed and
unusual powers, the main character soon discovers that it is only through
such powers that this overwhelming enemy might be destroyed. This
new novel by the widely acclaimed writer, Prentice Kinser III, will take
you on an astonishing journey of espionage, international intrigue, and
paranormal phenomenon, as our heroes must elude both American
intelligence agencies as well as those from other major nations. Dr.
Kinser, an Episcopal Priest and clinical hypnotherapist, has produced a
great read that stretches beyond the usual spy novel into realms of
mediums, ESP, and other extraordinary activities, while it also expands
our imagination to perceive within bewildering spiritual happenings the
unbelievable as perhaps believable. Dr. Kinser is also the author of
Limitless Living, A Guide to Unconventional Spiritual Exploration and
Growth.

About the Author

The author of HAWKSBILL, Prentice Kinser III, D.Min., has been an ordained minister (Episcopal priest) for over 33 years. He earned a Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) degree in pastoral counseling and psychotherapy, plus M.Div., M.B.A., and B.A. degrees. He is certified as a Pastoral Counselor and Fellow by the American Association of Pastoral Counselors, and is a National Board Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist.

After college Dr. Kinser explored a variety of vocations as a chemistry and physics teacher, as administrative assistant to the Dean of the University of Virginia Darden Graduate School of Business Administration, as vice president of Motivational Concepts, Inc., as a real estate broker in Charlottesville, Virginia, and attended medical school for three semesters.

Prior to his retirement from full-time parish ministry, Dr. Kinser was Rector of several parishes in the Diocese of Virginia, and, in retirement, he continues to serve when needed as Interim Rector and Supply Priest at parishes in the Diocese.

In addition to this novel, Dr. Kinser is also the author of the doctoral thesis Prophecy, Trance and Transference: Hypnosis as a Pastoral Counseling Modality, and of the text, Limitless Living, A Guide to Unconventional Spiritual Exploration and Growth.

Dr. Kinser, his wife, Mary Ann, and their cat, Fluffy, are lifelong residents of Virginia and are parents of three children and four grandchildren.

About HAWKSBILL Dr. Kinser says, "Although not a piece of great literature, it was a true adventure to write this, my first novel. I have written several thousand sermons over my 33 years as an Episcopal priest, plus hundreds of academic papers in college and in graduate studies, and a full text entitled LIMITLESS LIVING, yet, this experience of creating a piece of fiction has been quite different. Being able to explore in fiction some of the LIMITLESS LIVING topics was a spiritual experience in itself. Then add to that the joy of allowing the characters in the story to go where they want to go or where the story suddenly takes them, often against their will, was a great surprise for me and brought immense pleasure. I hope the enjoyment will be as great for the reader as it has been for me."
