Overview

In this fictional timeline, Queen Maili (pronounced My Lee) takes over the Hawaiian throne after the passing of her beloved Auntie, Queen Lydia. Maili will fight to keep her island kingdom independent as she negotiates with the United States over the importance of Pearl harbor. Maili realizes that her twin daughters will be the heirs to the throne and must struggle with her rocky marriage with British Prince Austen as she confronts coups from fascists and communists. This story takes place between the Roaring 20's until the end of World War II.

About the Author

After several years of teaching history and visiting one of my favorite places in the world, I decided to write this series as I wondered how would Hawaii be if they remained independent for the last 100 years.
