Overview

A variation of Dick's up from under plot, a man surfaces from his basement to find flying insect-like aliens changing into human semblance and trying to take over the town. He flees and is caught and, in the end, is there any need to ask who the hanging stranger is?
It was published in the Dec 1953 issue of Science Fiction Adventures - the only one of Philip K. Dick's stories to ever appear in that magazine.
