Overview

1914 / 1915 The world is at war! The Grand Alliance led by the British Empire and the United States, and the Continental Entente led by the French Empire and the Confederate States of America are locked in a desperate struggle for world domination.

In central America where the war began, the Alliance has captured Panama, but the Entente has left the canal in ruins.

In North America, thousands of men die every day in trench lines that run from the Atlantic to the Appalachians and from the Appalachians to the Mississippi. In Missouri, Union armies are driving in from both the east and the west. Having captured the city of St. Louis, General John "Black Jack" Pershing is reassigned to the Eastern Theater where he begins planning an operation to capture the Confederate Capital of Richmond. Can he succeed where so many Union Generals have failed before him?

The most terrible war in history unfolds as new weapons of warfare are introduced. While the Union prepares to deploy its new poison gas in Virginia, a vengeful Confederate ace in a state-of-the-art aeroplane hunts Union pilots in the skies above Missouri. On the North Atlantic, flotillas of Confederate and French submarines prey on Allied shipping and threaten to starve Britain into surrender. In the Mediterranean, the British Navy launches a daring operation planned by the First Lord of the Admiralty, Winston Churchill, to liberate Malta and break the French blockade of the Suez, resulting in the largest Dreadnought battle in the history of the world.

In Europe, France fights a two-front war against the British and Prussians in the east, and against Spain in the south, while across the channel French airships bomb London. In North Africa a small but capable French army under General Petain is advancing across the desert on a mission to capture the Suez.

In Guns & Glory, Billy Bennett presents a tale of bravery and sacrifice, of love and war, of death and destruction, and of a world that has fallen into the abyss.
