GROOMING NORA
This story may be fictional but does expose the life of a highly recruited high school basketball player and her freshman year in college. Nora is that girl who has many hang-ups caused by being overexposed in her hometown for being an excellent basketball player but losing her identity as a student and a high school kid. She wants to correct this situation in college which is difficult in Knoxville, Tennessee, as a member of the Volunteers Women's Basketball Team.

She begins her journey as a person completely self-centered with no compassion for anyone. She wants to be a student, an All-American basketball player, and just another person at the University of Tennessee. She needs help to achieve this and receives it from an unusual source, her tutor.

The situations in this story are much closer to real life than most people would suspect. At least for a college athlete who wants to get a good education.
