Author, historian, and photographer Neil Regan is a lifelong resident of North Carolina and a waterfall enthusiast from early childhood. He was born and raised in southeastern North Carolina, where his family has resided since 1734. He is descended from patriots of the American Revolution, the War of 1812, and the Confederate Army, Artillery, and Cavalry. He is a proud graduate of East Carolina Universitywith a BA in history.
