Overview

• After years of denial the world leaders finally acknowledged the Earth's non-renewable energy source would be completely exhausted within a decade.

• An oversite agency, Worldwide Organization for Resource Protection (WORP), was established to manage a universal energy conservation program. Due to the excellent leadership of the WORP Director, Smith Krafton, the agency was successful in conserving enough energy to afford time to retrieve a new energy source that was discovered on a dead star. Unfortunately, it would require eight years of space travel to reach this valuable source of energy.

• After the director of WORP left to head up the space team to retrieve this energy source, the agency's leadership was replaced by a group of self-serving, greedy, and corrupt managers. The story has many nefarious characters. The one named by many as Pig Head, schemed to steal the energy upon its arrival on Earth and use it for his own evil purpose.

• Extracting the energy composition in the dead star upset the Universe's equilibrium.

• When the space travelers returned, they were met with a whole new world. The Krafton Scientific Research Laboratory, a clandestine agency founded by Smith Krafton, discovered that the crew had entered a fifth dimension, causing a change in their outlook and insight on life.
