Overview

This project began as a way to communicate the message of the Bible in a language that spoke to a generation obsessed with text messaging. It is hosted on Twitter (@The140Bible). Does it replace the Bible? No. If anything, I hope it encourages people to actually crack open a Bible and read it. If you have never read the Bible or it's been a while, then I hope this gives you a refresher. It is not for everyone, but I hope it is for you!

For the next year, I will be tweeting the New Testament. The plan is then to move on to the Old. This is the first book I did.

You can follow this project live by visiting www.twitter.com/The140Bible, or by visiting www.The140Bible.com.

About the Author

I am a librarian, freelance writer, and writing instructor. My biggest claim to fame is a series I write for McSweeney's called "Dispatches from a Public Librarian," which I expanded into a book called "Quiet, Please."
