About the Author

Debbie S. Miller has written many acclaimed children's books, including The Great Serum Race, Are Trees Alive?, and Arctic Lights, Arctic Nights. As a child growing up near San Francisco, she loved the harmonic sound of foghorns as she fell asleep. She now lives in Sitka, Alaska, where bald eagles chitter in the forest and the soothing sound of raindrops on the roof help her fall asleep.

Michelle Jing Chan is a queer Chinese American illustrator who grew up in Colorado, where the sounds of rustling pine trees and her parents' bedtime stories lulled her to sleep every night. Books she has illustrated include Moonlight Memories; Lunar New Year; Stay Angry, Little Girl; and Mamie Tape Fights to Go to School. Michelle now lives in the Pacific Northwest and falls asleep to calming audiobooks and the calming pitter-patter of rain.
