Most of the study is about God. It begins with preliminary epistemological questions such as meaning and the word God and objections to empiricism. Then it sets out arguments for the existence of God, including the ontological, the cosmological, the argument from design, theology without propositions, religion without belief, and religious experience. Next comes accounts of God's attributes, among them omnipotence, omniscience, eternity, embodiment, omnipercipience, the problem of evil, and the efficacy of prayer. The final section deals with faith and morality from such angles as belief and unchristian ethics. A glossary mainly of terms used in logic does not indicate their pronunciation. Annotation c.
