About the Author

Who am I? I am a nurse. I am a wife. I am a mother. I am a daughter. I am a sister. I am a loyal friend. I am a walrus (sorry. Breakfast Club moment). I’m Mrs. Doherty. It’s not easy being Mrs. Doherty. I used to go to work everyday and use my brain and solve real problems. Now I am a stay at home mom with a husband, 4 kids and a yellow lab named Norman. My life is crazy. I am crazy. Just crazy enough to make people like you feel normal. I love to laugh and I am not afraid to laugh at myself. The things you read in this blog are not the type of things you might hear in a PTA meeting or on the sidelines at a soccer game. I am tired of trying to keep up with Jone’s. Let’s be honest. The Joneses suck. They probably never laugh. The Joneses show up for the soccer game but don’t really watch it. They either talk on their smart phones or talk to the other parents about how involved they are in their child’s life. Mrs. Jones has a perfect body but can’t remember the last time she enjoyed a burger. She might read this blog and search for grammatical errors without reading the content. Mr. Jones coaches baseball but gets annoyed at the kids who don’t have any athletic ability. Don’t get me wrong. I love people. I invest a lot of my time in relationships. I care about people. I just hate fake people. I realized a long time ago that at the end of the day it doesn't matter what you own, what you look like or what neighborhood you live in. The only thing that matters are the people’s lives you have touched. Writing this blog is my humble contribution to the world. As in life, please do not take this blog too seriously. It’s just me, Mrs. Doherty, unleashed.
