About the Author

Rebbecca Bakre is an author, accredited Life Coach, and public speaker who is passionate about seeing women disrupt broken cycles and find their peace. She believes that achieving this will bring more peace and order to the world and to the lives of those who depend on us. She started Captivative Coaching LLC, a Life Coaching firm that exists to help women identify and overcome negative patterns. Her leadership and coaching experience spans from counseling individuals facing mental illness and substance abuse, childhood development in urban schools, financial coaching for returning citizens, leading as Director of a multimillion-dollar non-profit, and Co-Chairing Baltimore City's Commission on Sustainability. She began coaching professionally in 2017. And at the time of this publication, she is an Associate Certified Coach, certified through the International Coaching Federation (ICF). She received her training through the Co-Active Training Institute (CTI), with additional 1:1 mentorship and training with an ICF Master Certified Coach. In 2018, she authored, The Black Woman in Leadership's Survival Guide, to empower women of color to keep going in their leadership journey. In between writing and coaching, you can find her outdoors tending to her need for nature, snuggled up under a good book, or rocking out to something with a beat sampled from the '70s.
