If the world continues ignoring its current polluting ways, it may become too late, and the human species will die off. The surviving animals will once again dominate the earth until there is an evolution from apes to man. There were so many species during the early ages of the earth, and there are less and less today.
Man has become so selfish and lazy today he will pay an Elk rancher who has these beautiful animals trapped in a fenced-in location and allow these so called hunters to drive on their ATV's and shoot an Elk without hiking a few feet. Then there is the gall the lazy hunter shows when he mounts the head in his mansion back home and brags about his Davy Crockett prowess. If he really had to survive in the wilderness, he would starve to death in a week.
Man is in the process of destroying what God gave us in about 200 years that took millions of years to create. We all enjoy the modern conveniences that technology has provided, but if and when we look at the cost, we see that future generations will pay the cost and will suffer.
However, there is a different possibility that perhaps man has not considered. Perhaps the very technology that man is currently using to destroy species could possibly be used to create species.
Time will tell; otherwise it is back to the Stone Age for us. Maybe it has happened already, and we are the second time around.
