About the Author

Thorn Kurtzhals is a trans masc sequential artist and writer that specializes in melodramatic, chaotic, and hilarious narratives. Thorn values the quiet moments between people and the connection we share, and this sensitivity is highlighted in his depictions of emotions and conflict. His collaborative Webtoon, Girls Have A Blog, highlighted all these themes and more, launching Thorn into a career in comics.

When he’s not making comics, Thorn’s favorite pastimes are deconstructing masculinity and generational farmer trauma. If he doesn’t have a powerpoint on a topic already, he’s researching and forming his next thesis with his best friends.

Sarah Bollinger is a comic artist and illustrator who moves too much to say where she currently resides with any confidence. She started making comics during her time as a student at The College For Creative Studies in Detroit, co-creating the self-published fantasy comic, Knight & Beard, and the Webtoon featured slice-of-life series, Girls Have A Blog. In addition to writing and drawing, Sarah spends her time questing for new coffee flavors, endlessly coming up with new material for that stand-up comedy routine she’s been working on since 7th grade, and taking countless photographs of her 3-year-old child, Natalia.
