About the Author

Jason M. Williamson, a Marine Corps veteran and firefighter, is a Christian and child of a loving God. He has experienced PTSD and manages it with alcohol and prescription medications. After a journey of pain, Williamson found life again at Camp Hope and accepted Jesus Christ. He is a clinical mental health counseling graduate student with a bachelor's in Christian Counseling and Biblical Studies. He is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, the American Psychiatric Association, and the National Association for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors. Williamson works as a trauma-informed crisis response caseworker in rural South Texas.
