n the distant future, science and technology have taken radical turns. With the military now in charge of everything, one scientist, Professor Jonothon Richardson, has taken matters into his own hands to research the next great leap for humankind. Before he can fully understand his creation, it is stolen by a mysterious group of creatures whose bodies possess incredible abilities. Even more enigmatic is the sinister creature who commands these thieves to obtain the new technology.
So it falls, ironically, to the government to intervene. Sending their very best agent to retrieve the stolen technology sounds like a simple enough mission. But Sasha Sikorski is soon embroiled in a much broader contest. Forced to rely on a questionable crew, she joins up with Professor Richardson and together they set out to retrieve the stolen item – on the surface, a biological hard drive, representing a quantum leap in computer technology; in reality, a prize far closer to true artificial intelligence than the Professor dared dream, when he created his G.E.E.N.E.E. in a Bottle.
