About the Author

On November 18, 2013 my life would be forever altered. Not only was my life altered, but my family’s as well, especially my kids. I was sentenced to 20 years in prison for a plant that is now being sold legally in 40 of the 50 states in the US.

We introduced medical marijuana to the state, but because of my felony conviction, I am forever barred in participating in this multi billion dollar industry here in Mississippi. While some states have allowed felons to participate, even moving them to the front of the line, Mississippi remains stubborn in forgiving and rehabilitating felons.

Ten years later that time has become a distant memory in my life’s rearview memory. Today, I spend my time between Clinton and Greenwood, managing my car lot, handling all of the personal injury and worker’s comp cases for J. Hardwick Law, running our family’s cattle farm and mentoring young black males. Life is good!
