Overview

A game seven is the final game of a best-of-seven series. It is one last battle and the winner takes all. One team will win and the other will lose, or in this case, someone will live and someone will die! The story takes place in two cities, Chicago and Houston during the NBA Finals. Game 7 is the story of two forensic specialists who are forced to work together to track down a sadistic serial killer, who chooses his victims according to the stat line of Charles Tatum, a famous professional basketball player, who is trying to lead his team to the city's first title. FBI Agent Paul Wells is a man who wants to move on from the FBI and open the bar he inherited after his fiancée's death. He is forced to make or break his replacement, Marcus Stone, who is on thin ice with his superiors. Together, they trace the killer's every step, witnessing the aftermath of his horrific crimes, as the victims pile up, one by one, after each game in the seven-game series.

About the Author

Tony Dismuke, the son of Paul and Toni Dismuke, the sixth child of nine, was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and raised in Southern Illinois, in the towns of Sparta and Harrisburg. He attended Southern Illinois University, where he studied science, but after taking a ballet class, he discovered he really enjoyed entertainment. Life changed for him in 1989, when his mother, Toni Katherine Dismuke, after years of battling, lost her fight with cancer. The pain of the world he knew without her suffocated his soul, so Tony, wanting to escape that life, moved to Los Angeles in pursuit of a career in acting. He had some fun but not the success to make a career out of it. One day his eldest sister, Paula, pulled his collar and told him he could write his own movie and star in it. If he put his mind to it. It took years of trial and error, but eventually he wrote his first screenplay, the LURE. Not completely satisfied with it, he wrote another, Game 7, the screenplay upon which this book is based. The losses in his personal life guided his pen. Unfortunately, his beloved sister who had given him the courage to put pen to paper would never see his work completed, nor would his father. Paul and Paula died only months apart. Life had changed for him again.
No longer was it about tomorrow-it was absolutely about today!
