As a veteran educator, I find this authentic book to be one of value to share with students—children going through similar circumstances and those who may share a class with someone going through the frightening loss of family, fearing the next event, not knowing what to expect. As the reader experiences the open-ended response, “You’ll soon see!” and senses the fear and anxiety Samantha and Gabriella try to hide as they travel through neighborhood after neighborhood anticipating a new home, the author creates opportunities for discussion."

"Pauline Rose Moore's book gave me a view into the world of foster care through the eyes of a child living the experience. It was thought provoking and left me wanting to see where life would take Gabrielle and Samantha. It was writen simple enough that the youngest child could understand the concept, but also well enough to hold the attention of and intrigue an adult. I thoroughly enjoyed it and hope that there is a sequel soon."
