From the Inside Out

Overview

Finding peace in my pen has allowed me to reach different breakthroughs in my timeline. Being a survivor of the street life, I'm only looking to not only elevate as a person, but to allow my thoughts and voice to be heard on paper, in books, and any platform that consist of literature. I love reading, often finding solace in writing, while gathering the proper understanding of information being written. Being a new author in the sense of stepping out on faith, overall gambling on self, I have a message for the people, focusing on my purpose, while pouring "From the Inside Out". Books has always been a needed source in the life of the living, books usually storing history, research, and valuable information usually hidden in a book. Many people not being readers, but I think that just may be an overstatement. Seeking to be a individual that not only highlight my truth, but also bringing a light onto the urban community that's needed for all ages, genders, and persons.

About the Author

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. I'd been a young boy with the hopes and desire of playing either baseball or basketball one day as a pro. As life unfolded as it did for me, I fell face first the the pavement of the streets and culture brewed in South Central, Los Angeles, Just like so many others in my community, my household had been affected the crack epidemic when it hit LA. Losing the desires I'd once had as a little boy, that dream soon had become a had been when I'd followed the steps of so many others around me. I'd been a lost kid, like so many others. Finding a illusion of love in the streets of LA, I'd exchanged my hopes of playing pro ball one day, to becoming a statistic in LA County. After many ordeals. unprepared falls and experiences, I relized instead of allowing myself to complain, or bicker about what I'd been through, the best thing I could do is create a bridge for so many others that may battle, or fought some of the ordeals I'd experienced. My focus was to use myself in a x-ray like image, in an attempt to pour from my soul in hopes of connecting and touching the hearts and mind of the people. Where I come from, along with the experinces gained, one doesn't always make it to see the light. I'm only thankful, that God loved me enough to discipline me in the manner in which he did, allowing me to be drugged through the mud, yet I came out clean.
