About the Author

Sandra Elsa grew up in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. She co-wrote her first book--a Western-- in high school with her best friend (parts of the book still exist. Written on notebook paper, largely with pencil it grew scattered and illegible as the years passed--and there have been quite a few years)

After high school, writing shifted to the back burner through a couple years of working with horses and ten years in the military. The military started her down the electronic path of computers and her chosen field tended to be processor intensive. There would often be large blocks of time when the computer would be occupied and nobody wanted to ask it to do anything else for fear the time it took to finish a task would multiply.(we're talking 386 chips here) How better to fill the empty time, than with words. Her interest had changed from Westerns to Fantasy so that ended up as her genre of choice.

With the military a distant memory, writing became a focus. Sandra joined the OWW (Science Fiction and Fantasy Online Writing Workshop)and worked toward perfecting the craft she had heretofore enjoyed only as a hobby. Several novels later she came to the conclusion that while she had become a decent writer, her marketing skills left much to be desired. Thus she chose to try the indie route of publishing.

Now living in South Dakota, with her husband, two adult children, the remains of her herd of Morgan horses, and raising two grandchildren, life is good.
