About the Author

Richard Milleville is an Army Veteran who served at Sandia Base in (DASA) Defense Atomic Support Agency, Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was raised in rural Wisconsin and has had a career in accounting, taxes and real estate.

This short story, Free Spirits, is about Jessie and Asilah, different in many ways, who enjoy all the luxuries possible. They are worlds apart in respect to culture and other factors yet keep trying to maintain a relationship. A hard reality bite takes place; you need to find out what it is. Ask yourself what you would do if you were Jessie or Asilah.

The first short story by Mr. Milleville brought such a positive response from readers that he has continued to write about subjects that reflect his knowledge, experience and education: He has written numerous short stories which you will have the opportunity to view as eBooks on Nook which include; Shock Wave, Detour to Kingman, A Ghost for Dee Dee on Route 66. Cover by Rank, The Day of the Vultures, Scary Bachelor Farmer, Having Control, and On a Cold Chicago Night. More stories are forth coming that will stretch your awareness of your surroundings and your comfort with yourself. In addition, there are four children's eBooks that will soon be published; these are educational stories of Arizona animals such as roadrunners, monarch butterflies, hawks, spiders, and quail.

Each story is a thriller with a twist that does not forget to show humor; a laugh makes it easier to get through a serious story, and life. He has also written for magazines and the Examiner.

Richard is now retired with his wife Denise. Each day is a wonderful day in Phoenix, Arizona, the Valley of the Sun.
