Overview

"Freak Salad" is a mind-bending genre-defying tour of the Carolinas and outer space! Set in a trailer park near Asheville, it features Eel McGill (the author's alter-ego?) and a host of offbeat characters. Provocative, yet filled with puns, "Freak Salad" is a perfect storm of bizarre R-rated occurrences. And it's "interactive." Have fun and stir the bowl!

About the Author

Lee McGee is a resident of Eastern North Carolina and has previously self-published the novel "Transmissions from Cyndromeda" and "Abstract Cowboy," a collection of song lyrics and poetry. "Freak Salad" is his second novel and will also be released as a podcast.

McGee went to Kinston High School and East Carolina University, where he studied philosophy and liked to party. Known for his sense of humor and creative wit, he kept journals of his writing even while working for an airline and the US Post Office.

Inspired by author Tom Robbins, Lee McGee uses lots of metaphors and daring vocabulary. He has a flow-of-consciousness style and cares about how words sound as much as what they mean. He would like to thank David Bradshaw for providing input and Anna Birney for the cover design.
