Overview

A young female scientist named Madelyn has developed a cellular regeneration process that will allow people to live to the age of two hundred. All she needs to do is raise $250 million to make her project a reality.

Desperate to keep her technology from falling into the wrong hands, Madelyn forms a top-secret company called Genanotech which is funded and headed by someone she eventually comes to trust, she thinks? With the help of Arthur Birmingham, a rogue US Senator who chairs the Commerce, Transportation, and Science committee, they succeed in bringing the project to fruition.

Of course, there are problems the idealistic scientist never considered; overpopulation, decimation of entire industries, government interference, international posturing to name just a few. She and her colleagues are faced with mitigating the disruption they are about to unleash. And before the technology is in universal supply, someone must face the moral dilemma of deciding who will live and who will die. As the novel spirals toward a gripping conclusion, a series of bizarre twists transports the reader to a world where humanity is tested and faces challenges never before anticipated.

YOUR BACK COVER TEXT (150 WORDS MAXIMUM)
If you developed a process that allowed humans to conquer disease and live to the age of two hundred, you would be jubilant--until you realized that before there could be an adequate supply of that technology, someone would have to decide who would benefit from it.

In Allen Broderick's Fountain Found, that dilemma is only one problem besetting the young scientist who invented the process. She must first raise the funds for the project; then, she must contend with the overpopulation that might render the earth uninhabitable. Finally, she must insure the technology is made available to all mankind.

Medicine, technology, and business are cunningly interwoven in this thriller, which approaches the moral issue of eternal life from a twenty-first-century perspective. Broderick's cunning storytelling ability keeps the reader in suspense until the very end, when the team of young entrepreneurs chosen to market the miracle cure face the choice of life or death.
