About the Author

Janet S. Fulton PhD, RN, ACNS-BC, Associate Professor, Indiana University School of Nursing, is the Program Coordinator for the Adult Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) major. She has many years of experience as both a CNS and CNS educator in the area of adult health with a focus in oncology. She is actively engaged in promoting the CNS role and practice nationally and internationally, having served as a member of the Executive Committee for the American Nurses Association Council of Clinical Nurse Specialists, president of the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists and coordinator of the CNS Specialist Interest Group for the Oncology Nursing Society. Dr. Fulton is currently the Editor of Clinical Nurse Specialist: The Journal for Advanced Nursing Practice.
