Overview

America is in crisis. But it’s not what you might think. The crisis is not to be
found in what America is doing so much as the way America is thinking ... or maybe
more accurately - not thinking. This is a “big picture” book. We try all sorts of
schemes and gimmicks hoping to fix our problems, but we don’t have our big picture down. We’ve lost our foundations and our worldview. Instead of telling it like it is, America is full of leaders willing to resort to emotional appeals, delusional
thinking, obfuscation, and fantasy … anything to try and support our desires. It
doesn’t matter that the world doesn’t work that way. It doesn’t matter if we ignore
future consequences for immediate desires. Attempts to argue from logic, facts and
reality are met by “skunk” thinkers and manipulators who simply provide talking
points that allow the deluded to claim support for whatever side of an issue is
desired – sadly without any fear of having their illogic exposed.

Foundations & Cornerstones takes a hard and honest look at forming our foundations and worldviews based on reality and shows how continual consideration, reformulation and acting on our worldviews (even if they honestly and rationally
differ with one another) can help us in dealing effectively with problems in
education, politics, economics, consumerism, and even religion. We’ve focused
on the trivial fixes and diversions and have ignored the big picture for too long.
