The first half of my story ended with being evicted. Left adrift on the streets, I was forced to live in my car and to contend with the challenges of being homeless and alone. With no help from family or friends, I was stuck. I saw no options available to me, except one. But after attempting suicide as an escape, I realized it wasn't what I wanted. What followed was a long road of recovery, overcoming the challenges in my life, finding connection, and dealing with the hopelessness that had led me to this point. With a rebuilt faith, I was determine to fight until I made it out the struggle which I knew one day would come.
