Ron Butler's skilled performance elevates this story, which is high on steam, lower on substance. The premise has potential: Ashley Ryan is visiting Catalina Cove, where she encounters a man who is a dead ringer for her late husband. "Ray Sullivan," who is starting his life over after awakening from a coma with amnesia, doesn't recognize Ashley—though he is inexplicably drawn to her. Butler sensitively conveys the confusion, vulnerability, attraction, and, finally, hope that each character journeys through. Steamy sex scenes abound—but end up feeling repetitive.
