About the Author

Charles Frederick Haigh was born in Massachusetts and currently resides in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He holds a bachelor’s degree from DePauw University, a master’s from the University of St. Francis, and a dual-focused doctorate from Ball State University. During his multi-faceted career, he worked as a financial planner at a major brokerage house, taught music at the secondary and university levels, performed professionally on French Horn, and wrote, arranged, and edited numerous compositions and books.

Two events have shaped his adult years, with both making a significant imprint on his philosophy and life. He had a near-death experience on June 18, 1999, and received a heart transplant on February 29, 2008. He credits his wife, Janet, and the doctors at Fort Wayne’s Parkview Hospital and Cleveland Clinic for saving his life.

Much of this romantic trilogy is based on Dr. Haigh's personal experiences, his adventures and travels, his appreciation for life's miracles, and his quest for unwavering faith and love.
