GARDEN WEEDS - Invasive Plant Identification
Here at last is the go-to book for identifying all the problem weeds in your gardening and landscaping life! Nancy Peters, aka The Weed Lady, has written a smart, charming, and utterly fascinating work to help you with the identification of garden weeds and other invasive plants that are lurking in your lawn and garden.

Flowers and Gardens Illustrated Vol 1 offers 10 easy criteria to help advanced and novice gardeners visually distinguish those pesky garden marauders from desired plants, grasses and flowers. By answering the 10 questions provided in this book, you will be able to zero in on whether a suspected plant is a weed or another type of invasive plant. No single answer on its own stands alone as the definition of a weed. You will find it amazing that in some instances, a weed is something that you may decide you want when planning your landscape strategies. "I hope that neophyte gardeners, armed with my books," Nancy writes, "will march undaunted into their flower gardens to recognize, name, and eradicate suspected plant offenders with an appreciation of the resourceful nature and redeeming value of these so-called villains." This book is a must for all gardeners!

Weed Science Specialist, Dr. Andy Senesac writes "Nancy Peters takes us on a delightfully informative guided tour into the remarkable world of weeds. She has created a stepwise guide that will allow you to get to know your plants better -- be they desirable or weedy. This book is a trove of information and lore about the most common plants we see--the ones we don't want! Weed it and reap!"

This garden guide is the first of two illustrated books, packed with over 150 high quality color photos and illustrations. Together, these books are the perfect plant management field-guide companion to Identify, manage, and control your landscape plants. Each offers a splendid armchair reading experience for novices and seasoned gardeners alike.

About the Author

Nancy Peters, Master Gardener and MBA, went from Wall Street to weeds. She has spent the last decade as a passionate landscape gardener, author, lecturer, and instructor on weeds in NY and VA. After spending two decades as a researcher and curious, but impatient, business analyst for Morgan Stanley, Prudential Securities, and Smith Barney, she moved on to gardening.
