About the Author

Эльжбета — французский автор-иллюстра­тор детской литературы — родилась 3 июля 1936 года в Польше и умерла 8 октября 2018 года. Отец Эльжбеты был поляком, а мать — француженкой. Во время войны её отец пропал без вести, и всё детство она жила в разных странах: в Польше, оккупированном Эльзасе, Англии, а затем в Париже. Эльжбета писала детские книги и сама их иллюстрировала. В 1994 году она получила литературную премию Sorcières за книгу "Флон-Флон и Мюзетт". В 2006 и 2008 годах Эльжбета была номинирована на премию памяти Астрид Линдгрен.
