In the second, "Big Dam Foolishness," he's investigating the murder of the man who was out to block the construction of the Big Blue River Dam. You're going to be surprised who did it. Early appears in several other stories here, including Peterson's favorite, a 1952 election day story titled "My Name is Truman, T-H-O-M-P-S-O-N."

About the Author

Jerry Peterson writes crime novels and short stories set in Kansas, Tennessee, and Wisconsin.

Before becoming a writer, he taught speech, English, and theater in Wisconsin high schools, then worked in communications for farm organizations for a decade in Wisconsin, Michigan, Kansas, and Colorado.

Peterson followed that with a decade as a reporter, photographer, and editor for newspapers in Colorado, West Virginia, Virginia, and Tennessee.
Today, he lives and writes in his home state of Wisconsin, the land of dairy cows, craft beer, and good books.
