Karen E Barnett was born in Chester but raised mainly in Hexham, Northumberland. As an adult she lived in London for six years but returned to her beloved Northumberland to resume her love of walking and the outdoors. Flinch is her first novel in a series of three young-adult adventures which she is currently working on.
