Overview

Do you love science fiction and fantasy? Us too, but as much as we enjoy the sprawling epics for which our genres are famous (read: infamous), we think there should be more space for the short stuff. Stories you can knock out over your morning coffee, or during your lunch break. Stories you don't need a bookmark for.

Flash Point Science Fiction is a magazine that publishes speculative fiction stories from 100 to 1,000 words in length. With science fiction pieces, fantasy tales, slipstream yarns, and everything in between, this anthology contains all the stories published by Flash Point Science Fiction in its first year.

About the Author

Thomas J. Griffin is a life-long fiction lover and sumo wrestling enthusiast who lives in Nashville, Tennessee and writes out of an attic that could use more natural light. He is the co-editor of Flash Point SF and his own stories have appeared in publications such as Daily Science Fiction, The Arcanist, Martian Magazine, Speculative North Magazine, and elsewhere.

M.A. Dosser is the co-founder and editor of Flash Point SF and a PhD candidate at the University of Pittsburgh. When he isn’t researching speculative fiction fandoms, music communication, or animated media, he’s writing about heroic blueberries, raven knights, and long voyages in outer space. His short fiction has recently appeared or is forthcoming in publications such as Daily Science Fiction, Land Beyond the World, and Martian: The Magazine of Science Fiction Drabbles.

Kevin is an artist, musician, and community college instructor living in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He has done the cover art for numerous academic collections, produced tour posters for the band BadCameo, and created album art for bands like If By Whiskey.
